College Degree vs. Network Marketing

College Degree vs. Network Marketing

It’s graduation weekend and it’s got me thinking about how quickly things can change and how great network marketing really is.

My niece Hannah is graduating from high school this weekend. Hannah was just 5 years old when I started Leaders Club! This fall she’ll be off to college with the expectation that she will land a great job when she graduates.

Is that a realistic expectation?

[More:]

Another friend of mine just graduated from college (as a working adult) with a degree in Public Relations. After spending 5 years and over $50,000 in tuition she was more than a little disappointed to find out that employers were not lining up to hire her. In fact, even though she was actively pursuing a new career and was armed with and extensive resume she couldn’t even get an interview.

You can bet that she won’t be giving up any time soon and decide to stick with her evening job at Bed Bath and Beyond! Even though the economy is in the crapper and things look glum at the moment, you and I both know that she will eventually find a better career.

It’s not ‘if’ but ‘when’.

Not because she has a degree, but because she won't give up.

Do you have this kind of commitment to your network marketing business?

Most people don’t. Why not?

Network marketing is creating real income for individuals and families every day. For some it’s a few hundred dollars a month – enough to make the mortgage easier or allow for that really great family vacation. For others it’s a literal dream come true – thousands of dollars working from a home office – saving huge on gas, stress and enjoying the mornings with the kids before school!

If this doesn’t describe you, why not?

Here’s the reality of network marketing…

  • If you believe that you already know everything you need to… you will fail.
  • If you are unwilling to invest a few hundred dollars into your personal education to learn how to get prospecting results… you will fail.
  • If you believe it’s too risky to invest a couple of hundred dollars a month into promoting your business… you will fail.
  • If you are more excited about watching your favorite TV show then actually working your business… you will fail.

I’m not saying this to bum you out. I’m pointing out your options. If you are not willing to commit to your business you are better off to quit, save your money and enjoy the life you have.

On the other hand… if you commit and act on these items you will succeed.

It’s not a matter of ‘if’; it’s a matter of ‘when’.

Congratulations to all the graduates, and DOUBLE congratulations to you for committing to your business! Your future is bright!

To your success, :-)
